  • Turkish President Erdogan pledges to fight ISIS and US-Backed Syrian Kurds with the “same determination.” The leader has been using his army in Syria for nearly a week, with support from US airpower. The US has given the Syrian Kurds weapons and air support throughout the US’s involvement in the Syrian Civil War. [Link] Syria Fyle
  • The US government continues to conscript dolphins and sea lions into military service. The US military straps cameras to the animals and trains them to swim into other counties waters, which are off limits to the US military. The missions are dangerous.   • A Washington bar owner is standing up to the government and allowing people to smokes weed at his bar. Weed is legal in Washington state and the owner, Frank Schnarrs, believes that it is his right to let people smoke marijuana in his bar.   • An unexploded US produced cluster bomb exploded in Yemen with 5 unsuspecting children near by. The children were dismembered and killed by the explosion. It is common for cluster bombs to not full explode when dropped from a plane. They often explode when unexpecting children try to play with the shiny object. Warning Graphic Images.   • Iraq requests the Saudi ambassador to Iraq leave the country. The Saudi ambassador has blamed the Iraqi government of creating tensions with the country’s Sunni minority. The Saudi embassy in Iraq reopened in December after being closed for 25 years. [Link] Iraq Fyle
  • Norway is building a wall to keep illegal migrants from flowing in through Russia. The wall sit on the Norway Russia border will stretch for 660 feet and is 11 feet high. [Link]
