  • Democratic Senator Robert Menendez loses an appeal to the Supreme Court, and he will face bribery charges. Menendez is accused of accepting bribes from an ophthalmologist, then protecting the ophthalmologist from a $8.9 million Medicare dispute. [Link]
  • Electronic devices other than phones and medical devices will be prohibited from being carried onto flights to the US from ten Middle East airports. [Link]
  • 1.4 million children are at risk of starving to death in four countries. Nigeria, South Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen are all facing famine. [Link]

  • A car bomb in a Shi’ite neighborhood in Baghdad kills 23 people. A group is yet to claim responsibility for the attack, but it was most likely ISIS. [Link] Iraq Fyle
